Your Guide to Fall Farmer's Market Produce
FALL IS ONE OF OUR favorite times to hit the farmer's market. The weather's cool enough to enjoy a hot beverage while perusing the produce and the fruits and vegetables that are in season are so robust and comforting!
Swap out your summer go-to's for these next time you take a trip to pick up some produce:
Swap Peaches for APPLES & PEARS
The only reason we're not having separation anxiety over peaches (they're our fave summer dessert) is because perfectly ripe fall pears & apples are seriously amazing. Roast them in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes with a little honey, cinnamon & vanilla extract and you've got yourself a cozy dessert to curl up with on chilly day.
Swap Corn for KALE
Kale is just as hearty as corn and has a rich, meaty flavor. Plus, it detoxes your body and lowers stress levels. Try it in our Tuscan Kale Salad with Butternut Squash & Quinoa recipe.

Swap Zucchini for BUTTERNUT SQUASH
Butternut squash is velvety in texture when roasted down and has tons of Vitamin A. Plus you can toast up the seeds, which are rich in fiber, and have them as a midday snack! WIN!
Swap Blueberries for POMEGRANATES
Get your sweet fix and prevent colds with pomegranates, which are full of Vitamin C and abundant this time of year. You have to do a little work to get those seeds out, but #worthit! Top your oatmeal, salads and quinoa with them for an extra element of flavor.
Swap Radishes for BEETS
Colder temperatures call for something with a little more substance, and the earthy flavor of beets hits the spot. We love pairing them with vinaigrettes and feta cheese.
