Headspace is great app for meditation beginners that focuses on proven meditation and mindfulness techniques for a happier and healthier life. As a starter, they have a free 10 day program that provides you with 10 minutes of guided meditation per day, breaking you into the process of mindfulness slowly. Once subscribed, you have hundreds of guided and unguided meditations at your fingertips that range from 2 to 60 minutes. There's a Special Series section that focuses on health, performance and relationships as well as another section that teaches you how to apply mindfulness to everyday activities like cooking. And if you're having an emotional meltdown, there's an SOS Meditations section to talk you down.

Bhuddify is an accessible and unique approach to modern mindfulness for people who are constantly on the go. It features over 80 guided meditations ranging from 5 to 30 minutes that are based on what you're doing, whether that’s going to sleep, traveling, eating, being online, walking in the city, feeling stressed, etc. The app also includes a guide for mediation basics, 14 tracks designed for difficult emotions, and a stats section to track your progress.
Calm is a multifaceted meditation app that offers guided meditations ranging from 3 to 25 minutes which are focused on goals and topics. These include calming anxiety, managing stress, deep sleep, concentration, happiness and more. The app also has a visual guide for deep breathing as well as over 25 soothing nature sounds to use during unguided mediations or when trying to sleep. Our favorite aspect of the app, though, is Sleep Stories, which are essentially adult bedtime stories that are designed to ease you to sleep.
