NYC is a wellness lover’s paradise. With an abundance of fitness studios and even more healthy restaurants, there’s truly something for everyone.
While it may be nearly impossible to narrow our list of favorite healthy cafes to just five places, the following are a few that stand out from the crowd:
Featuring a huge open space with marble tables, flamingo wallpaper, lots of greenery and dishes like rainbow bowls & sweet potato toast on their menu, this Australian coffee shop is hands down one of our favorite cafes in NYC. There are multiple locations, and although the one in West Village has a larger brunch menu, we’re partial to the one in Dumbo because A) less crowds B) bigger space C) free WIFI.
Exposed white brick walls, cheery yellow seats, and lots of plants make this a wellness blogger’s paradise. Everything is Instagrammable, most of the food is plant-based (lots of vegetarian with vegan and gluten-free options), and bonus, there are cocktails if you want to go for a boozy treat. The OG location is in Soho and nearly always boasts a wait time, but if you’re in Brooklyn, you may want to head to their new Williamsburg spot. It’s huge!
Bright, yellow-hued walls and counter-service makes this a no frills kind of cafe that you can’t help but feel happy in. During the warmer months they have a lovely outdoor seating area with yellow chairs and black umbrellas. They’re also conveniently located right down the road from Yoga Vida NOHO, making them the perfect destination for post yoga sesh nosh. Ask for a honeybee on top of your matcha latte for the cutest Instagrammable treat.
Similar to Dig Inn and Sweetgreen, but with a bit more charm, this is a simple, fast, casual lunch spot that allows you to mix and match your ingredients. It has multiple locations throughout the city and just opened up in Dumbo next to Bluestone Lane. With the abundance of plants, cute tables, and comfy chairs complete with faux fur throws, this is an Instagrammer’s dream come true.
This is by far the CUTEST little eatery in Williamsburg. The first floor is a coffee/tea shop for a good grab 'n go, but the real charm is upstairs. Head up to the 2nd floor and take a seat at one of the small wood tables near the window, next to their huge tea wall. It’s quaint and intimate which makes it perfect for tea, delicious vegan crepes and good conversation.
