"Hey, I'm Kameryn, but people call me Kam. Like most kids I was a picky eater, but I didn’t grow out of it until I was 22. It wasn’t until I met my fiance right after college that I even started eating fruits and vegetables!
To me, being healthy is:
"About being happy and confident with who you are, not depriving yourself or comparing yourself to other people."
How do you make living healthy fit your lifestyle?
"I prioritize cooking at home and eating well. I love having home cooked meals at least 5 days a week. At the same time, I love trying new restaurants, so I make sure to fit in a dinner out with friends or my fiance at least once a week. I believe in the 80/20 rule, and I don’t think you should ever deprive yourself so when I eat out at restaurants I get whatever I want."

When we moved to New York, we started cooking all of our meals together and utilizing the resources we had around us. We had a butcher on our street, the Union Square Greenmarket a ten minute walk away, and I started to understand what it meant to eat seasonally and locally. Once I started cooking all my own meals filled with vegetables, proteins and whole grains, I felt great and had way more energy. I had a whole new appreciation for food and viewed it as medicine.

I started a food blog called Sullivan Street Eats as a way to inspire other people because I wanted a place where people had access to quick and delicious recipes. Ultimately, I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition so I could become a certified holistic health coach. I believe that if I can change after 22 years, other people can too! I’m so excited to be a part of #TheFeelGoodClub and hope to spread my love and appreciation of good food with others!"
