How to Make The Most of Your Health Goals

It's easy to get overwhelmed by the health and wellness space when everyone is preaching about eating healthy, working out, meditating and practicing self-care every day. If you're trying to tackle all of these things at once and feeling overwhelmed, don't stress. As a Holistic Health Coach, I like to tell clients that our health journeys are constantly evolving and it's important to focus on what makes YOU feel best - not what everyone else is doing. Here are a few tips to make the most of your health goals.

  1. Write down your goals. It's much easier to hold yourself accountable when you write things down with an actual pen & paper. Writing things down also allows you to track your progress over time. 
  2. Stay positive. You might have a really great streak of being consistent in your workouts and then you fall out of your routine. Rather than get frustrated about falling off-track, take time to appreciate that you were being consistent and recognize that it's important to give our bodies a break.
  3. Manifest your goals. Tell your friends and family about your goals. The more people you tell, the more people will cheer you on and help keep you accountable. 
  4. Plan ahead. Planning is key to setting yourself up for success. For example, if your goal is to eat healthier, set aside time to go to the grocery store at the beginning of the week and write a list ahead of time of what you're going to buy. That way, you'll know exactly what you need and won't' be distracted once you get there.
