IF THE WEATHER where you're at is anything like the forecast in NYC this weekend, your motivation to go outside will be slim to zero. Instead, why not whip up our recipe for this detoxifying bath salt soak and slip into the tub with a good book? This soak in particular will help rid your body of toxins as well as get you into a more zen headspace. Plus, you'll smell irresistible (a good thing come Valentine's Day). Here's a breakdown of all the benefits this salt soak will give you:
SEA & EPSOM SALTS
Salts in their pure form have lots of minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium. All of these are easily absorbed by your pores, and they draw out dirt, oil and impurities to deeply purify your skin. But it's not just about the surface results--Magnesium will help ease muscle fatigue and calcium will help to keep your body from retaining too much water, so bye-bye bloating and soreness.
No, it's not just for making cakes and cookies! This ingredient helps to soothe the skin and treat any irritation, which we often experience from the cold, harsh winter winds.
Aromatherapy can be a powerful method for improving your mental well-being. We combine peppermint, rosemary and lavender essential oils for the perfect Zen cocktail. The peppermint oil provides stimulation that will refresh your state of mind, while both rosemary and lavender oils can reduce the body's level of stress hormones.
