Our Top 5 Healthy Nut Butters & Why

Nut butter is a pantry staple and a crowd-pleaser, and now there are now more varieties than ever. Throw some in your smoothie for extra protein, on a piece of fruit for a mid-aternoon snack, or in your favorite dessert. Read on to find out my five favorite nut butters and why I love them!

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is more than a childhood favorite. It's rich in antioxidants and healthy fats, plus it's high in biotin, which is essential for nail and hair growth. 

Almond Butter

Although almond butter is a more expensive alternative to peanut butter, it's considered the healthier nut butter because of its vitamin and mineral content. Almonds are rich in Vitamin E and iron, and they contain more monounsaturated fats.

Sunflower Butter

For people with a nut allergy or sensitivity, sunflower butter is an excellent alternative. It's made from toasted sunflower seeds and is delicious on toast or in your favorite dessert.

Cashew Butter

Cashew butter has the least amount of protein compared to other nut butters, but it's still just as delicious. Cashew butter is more of a special treat, since it's a sweeter consistency and slightly more expensive than peanut butter.

Granola Butter

If you are looking to avoid all nuts, but still want something delicious to spread on your toast, try granola butter. Made from ground granola, this tastes like a real-life liquid teddy graham.
